As I get ready to go through all the numerous pictures taken throughout Dec (that I will eventually post on Flickr and some on here) I realized that I hadn't posted any videos of Princess Sasha in a long while. So, I'll start with videos and in the coming days will be some picture catch up hopefully.

Sashie's 6 month stats and ear infection
I forgot to update on her 6 month appt a few weeks back and to let everyone know about her first ear infection...
She had her 6 month appt and passed with flying colors.
Weight: 14lbs, 7oz - 50th percentile
Length: 26in - 75th percentile
She did really well with her shots thanks to her Elmo teething blanket :)
This all happened on Friday Dec 5. That day and into the weekend we did Tylenol every 4 hrs like always after shots but her low fever ended up spiking to 103 and continued coming and going into Monday. She also was definitely not our happy Sasha of norm. After talking to the nurse Monday morning we took her to the dr Monday and found out she had quickly developed a double ear infection. After just a few does of "bubble gum" meds she started feeling better.
She's just now finishing up the meds and is getting back to her old self... sort of. Now there's also a growth spurt hitting but that's another story ;)

Breakfast with Santa and squash
This past weekend Sasha had her first Breakfast with Santa. It went very well! Granted she only had formula while Mama and Daddy had the real food but it was good :) She wasn't quite sure what to make of the big guys as you'll see from the pics but there was no screaming so we took it to be a success. These pics were much better than the mall ones that were taken earlier (those were VERY washed out) so we're going with these.

I also made Sashie some homemade, fresh organic squash this weekend. She had her first taste on Monday and LOVED it! I definitely think it's her favorite veggie so far. She's doing so well with it that I think we're going to move on to carrots this weekend.
Oh and here's her 6 month pic from a few weeks back... we always do the same picture in her crib at the start of each month

There's many more pics on the flickr site if your interested so go there if you have time :)
Hugs!

Thanksgiving vacation catchup
Well it's been a while since we went to Indiana for Thanksgiving so I'll try to play a little catchup... warning this is going to be a LONG post...
Just before we left for our trip (weekend before Thanksgiving) Sasha got to have her first try at a sippy cup... it went really well and she LOVED it! Got a little frustrated a few times but over all did great with it.

The trip up to Indiana when really well, we drove through the night Sunday night.
Here we our on the one stop where she woke up to eat:

Monday was spent and Yaya and Pop's where we had our first Thanksgiving dinner. Miss Sashie got a new toy, always fun! And, she of course had to try to taste it.

After dinner, Sashie and Daddy were all tuckered out...

On Tuesday, we went on to Lafayette and met up some friends and had a yummy lunch. Sasha didn't really care about that so much as dancing with Uncle Marcus... here's them doing the "sprinkler":

Next was a bit of Purdue shopping and then on to Uncle Nick and Aunt Mandy's. Wednesday morning Uncle Nick introduced Sasha to her first bluetooth:

After leaving Lafayette we headed to Indy for the rest of Wed and Thursday and during this part of the trip Sashie met LOTS of new people, and a few animals...
At Uncle Andy and Aunt Laurren's Thursday morning Honey and Sashie got very well acquainted...

As we got ready to head over for the big Thanksgiving dinner for Josh's family Sasha got dressed up... and of course there were pictures!

At the big dinner Sasha met slightly older cousin Kayleb (by 6 months) for the first time... very entertaining to say the least!
As Kayleb and his older brother start playing around the room:

Right before we headed back to Mom's for the night...

There's a few more from the ride back to TN that are pretty good but I still need to get those uploaded. But overall it was a great trip, tiring, but good. Sasha did really well for it being so jam packed.

Turkey hand
As a Thanksgiving present to the parents at Sasha's "school" the teachers made a turkey hand of our babies... how seriously cute is this?

Oh and here's a picture of Miss Sashie in her bumbo last night... check out how good she's sitting up now. Granted, it's with some help, but there's no more gangsta lean :)

My mama teases me
Last night after Sasha was done eating at about 6, I'm holding her and playing around like always but she's starting to look very longingly at her empty bottle. So I sit her on the couch and we play a little more but she's still interested in that bottle... I finally give it too her... oh, happy day! Except, I think she wanted something in the bottle at one point because she started grunting at me and looked quite upset that nothing came out of it... I guess I teased her a bit with it.

And, finally, even though there wasn't anything in it...

Grab those feet girly
Sasha is very into her feet nowadays. Last night as I was getting her changed and then putting up things in her room she was all about her feet. Every now and again she can get one of them close to her mouth, if not in it, but I just missed getting that picture... hopefully soon though!
A few pictures too

I love me some football! and other stuff
So this post will play catch up from the last few days and this weekend... I've gotten a little behind.
Daddy and Sashie like to get on the floor quite often any more and play on the quilt. Mama gets down there some times too, but usually it's Daddy/Sasha time.
Last Thursday night:

Izzy got in on the action as well:

As the weekend went on Daddy and Sasha did one of their favorite past times while playing on the quilt... watching football! Sasha has turned into quite the football watching buddy for Daddy. No, seriously, she LOVES it! She'll sit there and watch it... cracks me up!

Throughout the weekend, Izzy and Harry were quite close... they shared the sunspot together (see below) really often and even slept next to each other in the big chair Sunday night. Like a parallel universe or something.

Sasha spent some time in her jumper and is getting quite good at making the noises all by herself... you can see she's very proud

And we finished off the weekend with a walk... albeit a chilly one...

I'm mad, but I'm doing things
So Miss Sasha isn't the most fond of tummy time... at least not all the time anyway. She definitely has gotten a LOT better with it lately but at times she vocalizes her frustrations with it. Well, we caught her in one such fit here one night back. But, during the fit she was doing so well grasping her teething ring in the first video and then in the next she got so frustrated she actually started getting up on her knees! It's amazing what a little anger can do to a little girl. But, really, she's got to have some tummy time or she's never going to crawl now is she? ;)

Listen to me!
Miss Sasha likes to talk... I know, I know, those who know me, who would have thought it? Lately the "talking" has turned rather loud and borders on more of a squeal at times. Here's a few "talks" we had this weekend...

Green beans are yummy!
This weekend was Sasha's first try at veggies. It was also my first try at making baby food. Things went well on all accounts actually.
We went with green beans and she actually liked them... okay, as much as a baby is going to like a veggie on their first try. She actually opened her mouth for more, which we took as a good sign, and she didn't spit mass quantities of it out at us. There were a few pretty good faces she made but overall things went well.
