Our Sashie is a talker...

... I know shocking :) But here's a few videos from August that show of her ever developing verbal skills. I keep trying to get some of her signing on video too, but she gets shy with that when the camera comes around.

Overall she's doing amazing (of course I could be bias)! As far as words go she's got Mama and Dada down. Other words that she says are Harry, done, dirty, stop, yeah, ba (bottle), bye-bye, night-night, cheese, YaYa... of course with some of these they're her version but if you know what she's saying it definitely sounds like it. She'll also try to repeat things you say if you ask and sometime will do really well on new words.

For signs, she's doing more, eat, milk, please, done, wash/bath.

She's cutting all four of her incisors right now and has been for the last few weeks. They seem to be right under the gums and we're just waiting for them to pop through any day now. But really she teethes like such a trooper.

Now for the videos...

What she's doing in this video is something Mamaw used to do with me all the time when I was little we'd go back and forth. It makes my heart melt that she does this.

A little something for her YaYa

There's one more but YouTube is not cooperating with me. It's been "processing" since Saturday, hence, the lag on when I told some of you when this post was suppose to be up. Blah, I'll go back and try to upload it again later. Of course this is the one that has a little of everything... talking, signing.

Princess goes to Nashville

The Princess and her court (I and her Daddy) went a few weekend's back on a mini vacay to Nashville. This was Sashie's first time in a hotel and all of our first time to the music city. Not only did we have a good time seeing the sites and eating some tasty food, we also were lucky in that Aunt Mandy and Uncle Nick were able to meet us there for the fun.

Here's a few pics of our stay. All of the pics can be found at our flickr site.

Swim, swim some more

Just thought I'd pass along that our little fishy would be swim, swimming some more come Sept. Thanks to a 5am wake up call (when the rec center opened today) I got Miss Sashie into the next set of lessons. Today was the first day I could call and so I did. The one of two classes had actually already filled up so looks like it was good I called so early. Little stinker best be appreciating this later... oh, don't worry, when she's at the swim finals in high school I'll remind her ;) Just kidding! We LOVE doing this with our girl.

Count down... one week until Toddler Room

It's coming fast and furious now. This week our little lady will be having lunch in the toddler room... sitting on the little blue chairs and eating at the tiny table with her fellow classmates. I've tried to make her lunches look as close to her friends' as possible so she can continue to eat healthy, natural, and mostly organic food but not seem too different from them. Please wish us luck in this! Yes, it's a bit time consuming (but so was making her other food at first) but we feel if she eats it the time is totally worth it.

Last week she ventured out on the playground for the first time and rode the rocking horse... and LOVED it I might add. Her current teacher noted, "she didn't even try to eat the wood chips!" Always a good sign I would think :)

Today or tomorrow her custom nap mat will come and hopefully we can get her used to it before she has to start taking naps on that next week... we'll see. I must say her teachers are doing a great job to get her acclimated to the next room. She's doing so great!

With all this she seems to be growing up before our eyes. She's walking more and more steady (and faster!) and seems to be getting more opinions and attitude of her own (odd, don't know where that comes from). These pics should tell the tale...
