BREAKING NEWS!! Sashie counts to 10!

Starting late last week Sasha has been counting for us. She'll start counting at 1 and go up and we'd help her get past a number here or there, always 7, and she'd usually make near 10. Well, this morning after breakfast... she did it all by herself! 1 to 10 NO HELP PEOPLE!!! Her daddy and I were so excited. I think Harry even clapped for her.

Genius? I think so :)

A few pictures for you...

Enough hair for bows!

Enjoying her new blocks

Kisses for Daddy

The girl can sing!

Sashie has recently started to sing. Her new school has a lot of music involved. They have Chapel each week which involves music and singing and she also takes a music class once a week. Turns out that she has picked up one of the Chapel songs and now sings it (or her version of it) A LOT. Her daddy and I can't get enough of this and think it's the cutest thing ever... of course we may have some bias. I'm sure you would have picked this up, but just in case, it's a song about the Bible. I got this video while eating, obviously, and yes, she does like to sing while she eats... not exactly the cleanest thing to watch, but you'll get to see her sing nonetheless.

She also has started saying MANY, MANY more words and phases. She's even recently started saying 3 word phrases like "I got it" and "See you later." She says full sentences and holds conversations, particularly on the way home from school, but I still can only pick out a few words in there but she just keeps talking and talking... not sure where she gets that :)

Here she is saying a few of her newer and more clear words... tasty and spicy...

Have a good week!

Snow day

On a snow day a month or so ago, I decided to build a tent for Sasha. By no means, was it an elaborate tent, but she seemed to like it well enough.

She decided to hang out and read and play with some of her animals in there. Here's a little of how that all went...

A few pictures...

Think she was having fun?

On the left, you'll see Harry checking out things:
a little light reading

Gotta feelin' I need to do some readin'

Are you sitting down? Good! We have videos!!! I know, I know, I'm excited too because they're freakin cute.

This first shows that our girl continues to enjoy her music. Even though it was taken back in Jan, believe me she still enjoys it when the music comes on. Now, at her new school, she even has a true music class each week. Granted, I don't believe Black Eyed Peas are on the agenda, but still, it's a good experience... so here she is dancing to I Gotta a Feelin' Black Eyed Peas style...

So that was the "gotta feelin'" part of the post... on to the "I need to do some readin'" part...

Many of you have heard about Sashie's love for books and/or harvested this love by getting her some books (thank you!). Well, she's now started to "read" to us. After her bath one night she decided she REALLY wanted to read to me so I indulged her of course...

Hope you enjoyed those. Lots of hugs :)

Post drought

Sorry for the bit of a post drought. February has seem to come and go in the blink of an eye (so to speak.. . or rather literally as you'll soon read). For those of you who don't know it's been a bit hectic for us here in the South. Sasha was getting bitten quite a bit at her daycare. Thankfully, we had her on the wait list at another one and God saw to it that the wait was an oh so short one (VERY short considering the place). We already had her start date in place but was able to move it up due to the issues taking place. She is now at a faith based center in a church and we are all loving it. She's been there a week and all is going well. We honestly could not have asked for a better transition. Really, it was as if nothing different was going on for her. She's right at home and already knows her classmates' names and they know hers. I'm getting to know the moms in the room with the email list they have and the teachers are wonderful.

In other news, Sasha saw to it to poke me in the eye a few weeks back. Thankfully, she didn't scratch the cornea but she got me good enough that I'm still putting drops in my eye and will see the dr for a fourth time this week due to my eye ball swelling. When the eye does something, she does it well!

Sasha is battling a double ear infection, only her second one of the winter season... SO much better than past years! However, this infection has proved to be her first resistant one. She's on her second round of antibiotics so we're saying prayers that this time will do the trick. All indications are that it will so if you could say a prayer too we'd appreciate it.

Sasha's daddy and Harry are both good. Daddy is working late some nights but always loving what he does. He and Sashie are playing "surprise" where she'll try to find him and he'll jump out and "get" her more and more and she just giggles and giggles. It's hilarious! She also loves to climb up in the big chair and read books while sports are on tv. They'll watch some sports and read together which is so cute.

Harry and Sasha are ever the best of friends... but you may need to remind Harry of that some times when Sasha is going for his tail or chasing him around. You can see this though at night as she sits beside me on the couch watching Olivia, drinking her milk, with Harry on my lap and her hand resting on him. I can't tell you how sweet it is to my to have both my babies next to me at night like that. Who knew I'd be able to have them both rest with me at the same time? If you know Harry, you wouldn't have thought it possible!

I know this was a very wordy post, but I wanted to catch you up. I promise to have pictures in the next one. If you're dying for pics until then... try going here to see if there are any you haven't seen: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wilson-family.
