Homework - scissors!

Yes, in 3K there is sometimes homework. This weekend it was to practice the new skill of using scissors. She got discouraged a bit but over all pretty good.

Reading time

As we did things tonight in the kitchen Ms S decided it was reading time... As Kai Lan would say, "this makes my heart super happy!"

First Dance

Daddy/daughter dance that is. Weeks of anticipation and getting an outfit together led up to tonight. Daddy and Sasha both were looking forward to this big night.

The theme was 50s sock hop and , while I'm crafty, I opted for a poodle skirt from etsy. It was adorable! I added a S to a white shirt using my cricut and heatbond, found saddle shoes at consignment and voila a 50s girl our girl became! Daddy went with a basic white t and jeans. The night was complete when daddy "picked her up" at the door for their date with flowers... She was smitten.

Oh and the day was made even more special because she got her first true haircut with layer and not when mama was getting cut.. She thought she was big stuff!

Mama/Sasha date night

BBQ was on the menu (there's one place mama can eat at that has some good stuff!). Last night daddy and Sasha had a date while I shopped a consignment sale. We had our turn tonight while daddy went to a basketball game.

Lights on, lights off!

I know it's been awhile but I had to quickly share (thanks to my new phone)... Our girl can reach the lights now and turn them on or off by pushing them up. Oh and this is without a stool to help!
