Watch out... here she comes

Okay, so in the last week or so Miss Sashie has really ramped up her crawling skills. She pretty much can get anywhere she wants to go. Just this weekend she started getting on all fours and rocking quite a bit too (still need to get some pics of this).

Here's some pics of her crawling adventures of the last week and a few other things she's done...

As she plays we love to put her rings on her head and she flings them off:

One of her favorite go to spots now is the entertainment center where she LOVES Daddy's Wii controllers:

She's now standing.. with a just a little help:
Still needs a little help, but not much

She's trying to pull herself up too, and did a few times from sitting on my leg, but can't quite yet from sitting on the floor.

On Thursday night, we watched the Boilers in their defeat... Sashie was dressed in her PU gear and didn't watch too much, but rather played:
Move along, Mama, I'm just hanging out

She figured out slapping the hearth made noise:

She LOVES it! Pinky's beak quacks.

Asleep, yesterday, after dinner.. and yes, Izzy is usually like that:

Oh, and she finished her swimming lessons Saturday and did so well! She was kicking and splashing. We're hoping to start again in June but are waiting a call from the instructor saying they fit us in.

Boiler Up!!!

While her mama must support the U of Memphis while at work, Miss Sashie is proudly representing the Boilers today...

Woohoo!

Ready for the Boilers to play today!

Oh, don't worry proud Boiler fans, I do have some black and gold beads on today with my Memphis blue so I am technically representing, just not as loudly :) Daddy is also wearing some PU today as well!

Luck o' the Irish... and Boilers

Miss Sashie was all decked out to support the Boilers on Sunday as her and Daddy watched the finals of the Big Ten tournament. Turns out she was a lucky charm... they won!

Go Boilers!

Speaking of lucky charm, thanks to her YaYa, Sashie won't be getting pinched today on St Patrick's Day. She's all decked out in her green... and of course making lots of faces for me during our little photo shoot this morning.

Water baby, mirror talk, and crawling

Yes folks, our Sashie has been very busy! Here's videos of her as she's grown, by what seems leaps and bounds in the last few weeks...

Big girl weekend with lots of firsts

Well, this past weekend was a biggie for Miss Sashie. She got her first pair of tie shoes, which she was quite proud of even if they do mean she has to keep socks on now, she graduated from her infant carrier to her big Britax carseats, and was in her regular stroller for the first time. Oh, and YaYa and Pop were here visiting. BIG weekend! She did all of this like such a good, grown up girl! She actually could have stayed in the infant carrier a bit longer but with Mama's pleurisy diagnosis on Thursday, carrying both Sashie and the car seat were a bit much.

One of her last trips in the infant carrier... to swimming:

Modeling her new kicks:

Very proud of the new shoes!

She also had her nine month formal pictures taken this weekend at JCPenney so soon I'll post those here.

Other things she's doing that I'm not sure if I've mentioned... waving regularly, giving wet, sloppy kisses, constantly saying Dadada, starting to say Mamama (but not exactly to either of us), rolling around A LOT, and I really think there was a few times she's said Izzy (or something like it) while actually looking at Izzy.

Art night!

Sashie just had her first school art night last night (3/3). I have to say I was a little skeptical but it was actually really nice. They had music, cookies and punch, and the art was so sweet. Here's pictures of the festivities:

Nine months old and her first playdate

On Saturday Sashie had her first playdate. She was invited to a twins play group so she could hang out with the Foster boys before they make the move to KC. It was pretty cute to see all the babies just laying or sitting around looking at one another. Sometimes the older ones would reach out to the others... very sweet. Of course there was crying but overall it was good.

Here's some pics:

In other news from the weekend... Sashie turned nine months old on Sunday! Seriously, can anyone believe this? I know I say that every month but it's just so hard to believe.

Check out that smile

We also had an attempt at shoes for the first time... yeah, it didn't go too well. We'll be taking those back and getting some that tie so they'll stay on. Why you might ask does a non-walking baby need shoes? To help keep socks on while it's still cold :) Give her two seconds and they're off and in her mouth.

Oh and she's also starting to wave now...

Waving "hi"

And here's one last one for today so you can hopefully see just how big those bottom teeth are getting...

Can you see how big the teeth are now?
