The Flood of 2011

Since this serves as Miss S's baby book of sorts, it's only right to mention the happening around town about now... the flood. Many out-of-town friends have been great to check on us as the waters of "the mighty Mississippi" rose, but thankfully we've been far from the rising river.

Approximately two weeks ago the rain began and it didn't stop. Just yesterday the river finally crested at about 48 feet. During this time roads have been closed, friends/co-workers have had to worry about their homes and make alternate routes to work, but thankfully no one we know has been deeply affected.

Easter 2011

After our girls' first egg dying experience the Friday before Easter, we continued the "bunny Easter" (as Sasha calls him) fun with zoo on Saturday, church Sunday morning and an egg hunt at home.

Our Little Model

At school one of the teacher aids has taught them to do a little model walk and pose... this is boys and girls. Sasha loves this and she was doing it for the camera one day... enjoy..
