Visiting the toddler room

Our little princess is moving on up... well, getting ready to at least. Yesterday, was her first visit to the toddler room at school in the preparations for her move there in about 3 weeks.

By all accounts, and there were many of them, everything went great. Miss Norma visited with her and will continue to do so all week. She went for about 30 minutes and played the entire time. She didn't want Miss Norma to hold her at all. Norma even left for about 5 minutes and just watched her from the window and Sashie did totally fine, no tears or anything. She sat at the little table and had a Dora the Explorer coloring page but didn't seem too interested in it.

During her visit she met up with a few of her past room mates, Paul and Nariah, who were very excited to see her (they're older had made the move a few months ago). Paul actually wanted to give her a kiss, but no worries Harlan, from what I hear she scrunched her face and backed away :)

Her Daddy and I know she'll be in good hands even though we don't know the teacher over in the new room yet because Miss Norma and Miss Erica will be keeping tabs on her. They've both talked to that teacher and told her how special Sashie is to them and the teacher totally understands. Erica's room is right outside her new classroom so she's just a look away.

While I don't have any pictures to share of this special day right now (there are some on the disposable camera we leave at the school) here's a few from yesterday morning as our curious girl occupied herself as her Daddy and I got ready...

"Nothing to see here Mama"
Nothing to see here Mama

Is it just me or is Daddy's shoe about the size of Sashie? Ha, ha... just kidding ;)
A new favorite hobby as we get ready in the mornings

"This is SO much fun"
Okay, I can't hide it, this is SO much fun!

And, no, we try not to make it a habit to let our 13.5 month old play with dirty shoes. Which by the way, she will now repeat after me when I tell her they are dirty... "diry"? "yes, dirty." "diry?"... you can see how that conversation goes.

Hugs!

How is it that our babies are getting old enough to go to a place called the "toddler room"? Anyway, she is beautiful as always and you are so lucky that Sasha has been cared for by two amazing women that obviously take such a special interest in her well being. I am certain that she will charm her new teachers in the same way.
